WMFHA Hosts Legislative Update Webinar

What happens if you host a webinar, and nobody comes? We don’t know because we had almost 100 attendees for the 2023 Legislative Update Webinar. On Wednesday, July 12 WMFHA Education and Government Affairs team members updated members on the recent bills passed during the 2023 legislative session. The update included information about SB 5197, which made changes to the eviction process and HB 1074 that changed how security despots are handled. The webinar also highlighted the successes we had in Olympia as well as what we will be facing during the 2024 legislative session. The webinar also included a brief update on the ending of the Eviction Resolution Pilot Program (ERPP).
