New Executive Director Nick Marin
Washington Multi-Family Housing Association Names New Executive Director
Renton, WASH. -- (Jan. 3, 2023) – The Washington Multi-Family Housing Association (WMFHA) welcomes Nick Marin as the new Executive Director of the association starting on January 3, 2023. Nick is a certified Association Management Professional with nearly a decade of experience. He is joining WMFHA after serving as Executive Director of the Yolo County Association of REALTORS® (YCAR) in California for six years.
“Nick is a strong leader with an impressive skillset that will be of value to our members,” said WMFHA Government Affairs Director Ryan Makinster. “We’re excited for him to take the helm and can’t wait to see how WMFHA grows under his leadership.”
While working for YCAR, Nick solidified a strong passion for all things housing. His work as Executive Director was dedicated to the professional development of REALTORS® and the real estate industry, as well as the preservation and advancement of private property rights. He led initiatives in member retention and development, financial planning, marketing/communications, and building professional partnerships within the community and governmental organizations. He also gained strong and invaluable experience in leading a trade association in the larger housing industry.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead WMFHA and build upon all the great things this association has already accomplished,” said Marin. “I’m passionate about finding solutions within the housing industry and look forward to being a part of the effort to make a positive difference.”
As Executive Director, Marin will oversee the association’s mission to serve valued Washington residents by supporting the development of multi-family housing professionals and advocating for policies at the state and federal levels for the industry.
Nick is a graduate of University of California, Davis with a bachelor’s degree in international relations with a minor in Spanish. His headshot can be downloaded here.
