Makinster to Address Engage Attendees

WMFHA Director of Government Affairs Ryan Makinster will be joining a panel of industry professionals to discuss the value of coalition driven advocacy efforts.  Titled “Strength in Numbers: Lessons Learned in Tacoma Through Effective Advocacy Coalitions,” the panel will also include Jim Henderson, Landlord Solutions, Sean Flynn, RHAWA and Sean Martin, Tacoma Pierce County Association of Realtors.

The panel is part of the first annual RHA conference presenting a comprehensive program designed to foster conversations, collaborations, education and productive engagement within the rental housing industry. ENGAGE offers best-practice education on rental operations, techniques for portfolio expansion as well as lively policy discussions to shape recommendations for the upcoming legislative session, and insight into effective advocacy programs taught by industry-leading professionals.

In addition to the panel highlighted above, a number of WMFHA members and allies will also be participating throughout the day including, George Petrie and Audrey Riddle with Goodman Real Estate, Representative Andrew Barkis, Senator Mark Mullet, WMFHA lobbyist Krystelle Purkey, Emily Thompson, GMD Development and many others.
