With a diverse background as a Leasing Professional, Property Manager, multi-site supervisor, and senior executive, she has overseen a multimillion-dollar budget, 200 employees, and a vast real estate portfolio. Katie holds Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor, Certified Apartment Manager, and Certified Apartment Leasing Professional credentials from the National Apartment Association, where she actively contributes as an NAAEI Advanced Facilitator.
Currently, as the President and CEO of Katie Rigsby Inspires, LLC, she offers consulting services and education to enhance property management professionals' skills in customer service, sales, marketing, leadership, and Fair Housing compliance. With more than 16 years in the industry, Katie has been advising commercial and residential real estate managers, investors, and stakeholders on market and design trends, and ways to maximize investment returns, all while creating compelling places to live, work and play.
Katie began her career in commercial color consulting as a part-time passion project in 2007. Today, her company, Color Works has grown into a multi-million dollar commercial design company, currently operating in over 20 states nationwide, with a fully remote team of more than a dozen individuals. She is also known for her business acumen (having grown 1500% in a single year), passion for teaching others (with 18 years teaching graduate and undergraduate courses), and commitment to women's personal and financial empowerment.
