Business Community Hosts Tanya Woo Reception

Posted By: Ryan Makinster Advocacy News,

On June 6, prominent leaders in the Seattle business community gathered at the AGC building in South Lake Union for a reception to meet and support Seattle City Council member Tanya Woo. As an at-large member, representing all of Seattle, CM Woo is an important part of the new council majority working to get Seattle back on track with a responsible, pragmatic approach to governance. She and her colleagues are taking steps to correct the flawed and damaging policies established by the former council.  The benefits of a responsible Seattle City Council are not limited to Seattle. As you know, what happens in Seattle does not stay in Seattle. Damaging policy spreads to other cities and the state.

WMFHA PAC along with a number of other business associations; AGC of Washington, Seattle Hospitality for Progress, and Seattle King County Realtors hosted the event to re-introduce CM Woo to the business community and help drive support for her campaign.

Tanya is participating in Seattle’s Democracy Voucher Program which requires her to gather 400 signatures and 400 contributions, minimum $10, from Seattle residents to allow her to spend the democracy vouchers she has collected, valued at over $400,000.  If you are a Seattle resident, please consider signing the pledge and contributing $10 to her campaign.  She will be instrumental in the “new” council’s efforts to stabilize our economy and industry.
