Nick Marin

Professional Bio
Nick Marin joined WMFHA in January 2023, bringing almost a decade of non-profit, trade association managerial experience.
He began his career with the California Restaurant Association (CRA) where he first led the Product Marketing team with the expansion of the bilingual ServSafe Food Handler, Manager and Alcohol training programs. He was then promoted to manage the Member Development and Retention program for the Northern California region, increasing the overall membership of the Fresno and Sacramento Chapters by 98%.
Having cultivated a love and passion for non-profit work while at the CRA, Nick became the Executive Director of the Yolo County Association of REALTORS (YCAR), where he gained a well rounded understanding behind running and leading a trade association. During his tenure with YCAR, Nick was responsible for fiscal and budgetary management, local lobbying efforts, member development and retention, philanthropic/fundraising activities, networking events, Multiple Listing Service (MLS) management, and the garnering of partnerships with local, state and national stakeholders.
Nick is a graduate of the University of California, Davis with degrees in International Relations and Spanish, and holds the At Home With Diversity (AHWD) designation from the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) and the Certified Multiple Listing Executive Volunteer (CMLX-V) designation from the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS).
Nick and his wife, Alex, are transplants to the beautiful PNW from California and have been married for 3 years. They have two young children, Sophia and Liam, and a sweet-fur friend, Nala. Outside of work, Nick enjoys exploring the Puget Sound with his family, craft beer, and soccer (and is a former professional soccer referee with US Soccer).
